A clearer website for The Energy Consortium

Making a broad body of work easier to navigate

EC's activities span research, industry engagement, government collaboration and international partnerships. The earlier website had already improved on its predecessor, but information remained distributed across project updates and announcements. Visitors could read about individual activities without finding a consolidated picture of what EC offered their sector.

For an industry visitor, the requirement was particularly clear: bring together what EC offers industry and what is already in progress, rather than leave those details spread across separate updates.

Building the proposed structure into the website

EC and its collaborating consultant proposed a structure centred on its principal audiences. Kulkarni Technologies built and delivered that structure in WordPress, alongside the interface revamp.

The Areas of Work navigation now provides dedicated routes for Industry, Academia and Government. The Industry section brings the consortium's offering and ongoing work together. A separate Global Partnerships area gives international collaborations a distinct place within the site.
